Sub-processors¶
Last updated: 20 October 2026
A sub-processor is a company that processes personal data for us while we process that data for you under the Data Processing Addendum. This page lists our sub-processors for the personal data the app processes in your Jira site, and, separately, the service providers we use for data we control ourselves.
Sub-processors for customer data¶
| Sub-processor | Service | Location | Safeguards |
|---|---|---|---|
| Atlassian Pty Ltd | Hosting, storage, and compute for the app on Atlassian Forge | Your Jira site's data residency location. If your site uses the Global location, Atlassian chooses the region. Atlassian may occasionally process an individual request in another location. | Forge Data Processing Addendum, including the Standard Contractual Clauses, and, where applicable, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework |
Atlassian is currently our only sub-processor for customer data. Atlassian uses its own sub-processors to run its cloud platform. They are listed on Atlassian's sub-processors page.
Service providers we use for our own data¶
We use these providers for data we control ourselves, such as support messages and this documentation website, as described in the Privacy policy. They do not process the data the app stores in your Jira site.
| Provider | Service | Location | Safeguards |
|---|---|---|---|
| OVHcloud | Email hosting for our btb-it.com addresses | European Union | No transfer outside the European Economic Area |
| GitHub | Hosting of this documentation website (GitHub Pages) | United States | EU-US Data Privacy Framework |
How we announce changes¶
| Change | How we announce it |
|---|---|
| We add a sub-processor of our own for customer data | By email to the technical contacts of active licenses and on this page, at least 30 days before the new sub-processor starts processing customer data |
| Atlassian announces a new sub-processor of its own | We pass Atlassian's notice on to the technical contacts of active licenses within 3 business days of receiving it, with a link to Atlassian's list |
| We change a provider we use for our own data | We update this page and the Privacy policy |
Objections¶
You can object to a new sub-processor in writing before the date, given in the notice, on which it starts processing customer data. Write to privacy@btb-it.com and explain your data protection concerns. For Atlassian's sub-processors, write as early as you can, so that we can pass your objection on to Atlassian in time.
We will discuss your concerns in good faith. For Atlassian's sub-processors, we pass your objection on to Atlassian under the Forge Data Processing Addendum, but the decision is Atlassian's. If we cannot address your objection, you can stop using the app and uninstall it. Atlassian then deletes the app's data as described in the Data Processing Addendum.
