Terms of use¶
Last updated: 19 October 2026
These terms apply to Issue Link Guard for Jira (the "app"), provided by Bartosz Boratyński BTB IT, a sole proprietorship registered in Poland in the Central Registration and Information on Business (CEIDG), NIP (tax ID) 1182048615 ("we", "us"). They apply in addition to the Atlassian Marketplace Terms of Use, under which the app is bought and installed. If these terms and the Atlassian Marketplace Terms conflict, the Atlassian Marketplace Terms prevail.
By installing or using the app, the organization that installs it ("you") accepts these terms.
1. License¶
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app in the Jira Cloud site where it is installed, for the term and the number of users covered by your license from the Atlassian Marketplace.
You may not:
- copy, modify, decompile or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it,
- resell, sublicense or provide the app to third parties as a service,
- use the app to break the law or the rights of others,
- try to bypass the app's license checks or its security.
2. Your data¶
The data the app works with stays in your Jira site on Atlassian's infrastructure, and you keep all rights to it. How the app processes personal data is described in the Privacy policy.
You are responsible for how the app is configured in your site, including link rules, the technical account and the activity log settings, and for the permissions you give your users in Jira.
3. Without an active license¶
Without an active license the app works read-only: existing links, the activity log and the settings stay available, but the app does not create or remove links. If your users link issues only through the app's technical account, give them Jira's "Link Issues" permission back, or renew the license.
4. Support and updates¶
Support is provided as described on the Support page. We may update the app to fix errors, improve it or follow changes in Jira and Atlassian Forge. Updates are delivered automatically through the Atlassian Marketplace.
5. Availability¶
The app runs on Atlassian's cloud platform. We are not responsible for interruptions caused by Atlassian's services, by your Jira site or by your network. We do our best to keep the app working and to fix errors in reasonable time.
6. Warranty¶
The app is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we give no warranties beyond those expressly stated in these terms or required by law, including warranties of fitness for a particular purpose.
7. Limitation of liability¶
To the extent permitted by law:
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits or lost data,
- our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the event that caused the claim.
These limits do not apply to damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, or where the law does not allow liability to be limited.
8. Termination¶
You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may end your license if you seriously breach these terms. What happens to the app's data after uninstalling is described in the Privacy policy.
9. Changes to these terms¶
We may change these terms. We will publish changes on this page and update the date at the top. Significant changes will be announced in advance in the app's release notes.
10. Law and disputes¶
These terms are governed by Polish law. Disputes will be settled by the court competent for our registered office, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
